Feminism is the advocacy of women’s rights. There are diverse opinions on this term and it is interpreted very subjectively today.

A lot of people are embracing this idea in India. Many women are now made more aware of their rights and how they can reach out for help. However, there is still a very long way to go. 

The implementation gap between what we say and what we do needs to be filled. For example, it is imbibed into the minds of young boys that their sister absolutely must learn all the household chores. After dinner, the daughters must help their mothers in clearing the table. 

Although we say and even believe that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of their gender, beliefs, or race; do we do it? These actions and thoughts are ingrained into our minds that unintentionally we do the exact opposite of what we say. 

The term “feminism” has become very common today. There are different perspectives and opinions surrounding this concept. While some believe that everyone should be a feminist and one need not be a woman to promote it, some find it annoying and fruitless.
