Breakfast Babble is ED’s own little space on the interwebs where we gather to discuss ideas and get pumped up (or not) for the day. We judge things too. Sometimes. Always. Whatever, call it catharsis and join in people.

Ah, the year-end celebration, where we bid farewell to 365 days of life, chaos, and questionable decisions. Some might say it’s just another excuse for a party, but let me convince you why this is the ultimate global shindig that humanity needs, and perhaps deserves!

Surviving a Year Deserves a Trophy (Or At Least a Pizza)

Seriously, getting through 365 days of adulting, dodging chaos, and enduring unexpected plot twists? That deserves a standing ovation! If life were a video game, making it through a year would unlock the achievement level: “Master of Survival.” I vote we all get medals for making it this far!

Reflecting on Mistakes, Like That Time You Tried to DIY Everything

Ah, those ambitious New Year’s resolutions that vanished quicker than snow in July. Celebrating the year’s end is the time to laugh at ourselves for thinking we’d suddenly turn into gym fanatics or master chefs overnight. It’s a humbling experience that deserves its own comedy special.

Welcoming the New Year: Opportunity or Just Another Excuse for Fireworks?

We’ve all witnessed it—the fireworks that light up the sky, symbolizing hope, new beginnings, and possibly, our neighbours trying to outdo each other. It’s like a cosmic agreement that says, “Let’s press the reset button and hope for the best!”

Dressing Up and Partying Like Penguins

Who doesn’t love a reason to dress up fancier than a penguin at a black-tie event? The glitz, the glamour, the awkward midnight countdown kisses—it’s a perfect storm of social interaction and questionable dance moves that can’t be missed!

The Resolutions: Making To-Do Lists We’ll Forget by February

Ah, the resolutions! Crafting lists longer than a CVS receipt, vowing to learn a new language, climb a mountain, and perhaps master the art of pancake flipping. We all know they’re more fleeting than a Snapchat streak, but the optimism is infectious!

So, there you have it—why celebrating the year end is like attending the ultimate “Thank You, Next” party. It’s a celebration of survival, a nod to our resilience, and a hopeful embrace of the unknown year ahead. So, grab your party hats, dance like nobody’s watching, and let’s welcome the new chapter with open arms and a slightly sore head the next morning!

Cheers to the year’s end, my fellow survivors! ✨
