Watch three of India’s favourite celebrities give a new angle to ‘Smoking is injurious to health’.
11 Minutes for me had always meant Paulo Coelho’s novel, that is, until yesterday when I came across a flooded Facebook feed’s worth of raving over some video featuring Alok Nath, Deepak Dobriyal and Sunny Leone.
Now going by the social media trends of recent times, one would expect a huge dose of hilarity in the video. At least, I did, and I was completely surprised to see the premise.
We see Alok Nath aka Babuji playing, well, Babuji to our very own Pappiji who is a dying man with just one wish: to marry Sunny Leone.
Too much to ask for, eh?

So Sunny Leone does come to the guy and sparks fly and how! Just when they get together and things are about to happen, the bomb is dropped – with a message.
What bowled me over is the (pleasantly) surprising and rather refreshing casting of the three actors together, and the idea of “smoking is injurious to health” touched upon with a dash of comedy. That, in such a way that one takes it seriously only when the time’s up!
I’m thoroughly impressed by the makers’ take on the very commonplace issue which has previously been treated only under a dark shadow of negativity.
