A Captivating Diary-like Gem!
A Woman Gone Mad is a recollection of events that lead up to the whole. The broken protagonist, Lillian, retells her life in a drug-induced haze. The novel is a journey of mistakes or life events that Lillian can’t handle or cope with. Her perceptions are skewed, but her memories are vibrant snapshots of what Lillian believes her reality and past to be.
The author, Kimber S. Dawn, takes these fragmented shards of emotions, sexual encounters, and lovers weaving them into a fictional memoir/diary of sorts. Your heart breaks time and time again throughout the novel. Just when you think things can’t get any lower, they transcend the fires of hell. The story and the characters leave you in a mesmerizing and thought-provoking world.
A Woman Gone Mad is brilliantly done by Kimber S. Dawn. I highly recommend this book because it is dark and fresh. I guarantee you have not read anything like it.
