The Maha Kumbh Mela of 2025 has definitely been a topic that is taking up a lot of space these days.
From all the security that has been deployed for the millions of people visiting it, to the economic profits that this event is supposed to bring to the state and some very interesting personalities attending it, it has all been very interesting to come across.
Given the scale of the event, there have also been some very interesting personalities who have gone viral from the Maha Kumbh, from a Rudraksh Baba to the IIT Baba and then Kaanta Wala Baba. There has also been one girl who has gone viral and is being referred to as a Monalisa.
Who Is This Girl?
The girl Moni Bhosle, is a 16-year-old garland seller from Indore who was noticed at the Maha Kumbh Mela while selling Rudrakash garlands. Her features quickly ended up going viral with people being mesmerised by her striking beauty whether it be her amber eyes, dusky complexion, or dazzling smile.
She was soon given monickers like ‘brown beauty’ with some even comparing her to the beauty of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting Mona Lisa and thus nicknaming her as ‘Monalisa Bhosle’.
According to reports, one of her earlier videos that went viral got almost 15 million views with others subsequently also raking in millions of views. People also appreciated, besides her beauty, her confident nature and radiant smile.

Unfortunately, there has been an unexpected consequence of all this where the girl’s father has sent her back home due to her newfound fame having overshadowed her work leading to declining sales.
While it has not been confirmed, a user on X/Twitter wrote: “The viral sensation from Indore, Monalisa Bhosle, who won hearts while selling garlands at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, has been sent home by her father following declining sales and her sudden rise to internet fame.”
Another user, Alok Ranjan Singh, wrote about how influencers were crowding her stall, “The girl named Monalisa Bhosle came to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj (UP) from Indore (MP) to sell her handmade garlands (malas). She has become an internet sensation due to her natural beauty. People are taking selfies with her. Her beautiful eyes, dusky complexion, radiant smile, and simplicity have captivated everyone. However, there is a limit to everything. Now, so many influencers visit her to take photos and videos that she feels overwhelmed and irritated.”
A Times Now report also claimed that in a clip shared on social media, Monalisa seems not to be a fan of being filmed since she is not able to sell anything. She said, “People only take pictures, but no one buys anything. I don’t like being filmed.”
Content creators, influencers and bloggers are also flocking to her to create content and use her fame to their benefit.
