The perfect way to define WhatsApp’s new feature is- The minute you are satisfied with where you are, you aren’t there anymore

And this is exactly what founders of WhatsApp believe in. What started as a communication App transformed over the years. The success mantra for WhatsApp’s growth over the past years is No Ads, No Games, No Gimmicks. The beauty of the app lies in its simplicity The fuss-free app made Facebook compel to take it over for 19 billion and the irony is both the founders were rejected by Facebook.

The growth rate of WhatsApp is unbeatable. About 250 million people used the app in its release month and since then there is no looking back for the company, be it facebook’s acquisition or adding features such as VoIP calls, Video call, Gifs, end to end. encrypted messages, etc

What’s New on WhatsApp, isn’t new anymore!

WhatsApp rolled out it’s yet another feature called the ‘Status’ which will convert it to a content consuming app. From being limited only to communicating app for years the founders have revamped it to social media.

Now, the new feature would help you post images and stories in the new tab called status which after 24 hours automatically disappear. It is similar in the lines of Snapchat and Instagram Stories feature.

*Just like the Hot Dog at 24*7 Stores*

But sadly, it wasn’t much appreciated by the users. And pondering over the feedbacks WhatsApp is planning to bring the old version of ‘Status’ back but this does not mean that WhatsApp is removing the new story-like 24*7 ‘Status’ update feature.

The ‘Info’ section is available as a hidden feature on the beta version of WhatsApp and has been introduced in the extended menu above the ‘Settings’ option on Android. While tapping on it, will bring the users to the all familiar ‘Status’ menu which has been renamed to ‘Info’.

Let’s wait for what more can Whatsapp reveal in the coming years!
