Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Launches in 2014. You’ve waited long for this.

unnamedBy Gauri Rajput

2013 has ended. The Autocar Companies are gearing up for their New launches in 2014 as well. Maruti  Suzuki India has secured the top position for years. Now they are ready with some of their blockbuster launches and some face lifts in their existing cars as well.

MARUTI TO TURN ON HEAT WITH AUTOMATIC CELERIO

Celerio has been designed in Japan. This car is likely to be the cheapest automatic in India. Maruti kept Numb about its official release dates, its features and the Grand first look officially releasing at The Auto Expo 2014. but the fact is we have ended your dream to see the premier. Here We have posted the first look as well. The design of Celerio is a reincarnation of Maruti’s A star, which failed to fuel the audience. Designed in Japan to appeal to a wide global audience, this clean but safe design is unlikely to polarise opinion. An updated version of the Suzuki grille and the wraparound headlights are clearly attractive, and the tall bumper adds some character as well; but otherwise the design seems quite plain. Still, on the whole, the Celerio’s inoffensive styling should find favour among all types of buyers in the small car segment.

The Celerio is a fairly tall hatchback and Suzuki engineers have used vertical space well to maximise head and legroom. The single-piece front seats offer far more support than their slender frame would have you expect; so clearly progress has been made in making these slim line seats comfy.

THE ERA OF FACELIFTS THIS 2014

Maruti is all set to launch their facelifted A Star and their hatchback class SX4 crossover and the Facelifted SX4 as well.

The A Star The new facelift has already debuted in China features edgy styling as compared to the older curvaceous styling that we have currently in India.

The new A-Star will feature similar proportions overall and will have the same mechanicals as it currently does. The new A-Star will be powered by the K10 engine and will be available in both Petrol and CNG options.

According to a news report by Team-BHP, who happen to have spotted a Swift with a key less Start button, Maruti Suzuki is planning to update two of its better selling products, Swift and Dzire. The additions to be made to the two cars will include DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), Push Button start, One-touch power windows and (we’d be surprised if Maruti makes it happen) cruise control.

SX4 crossover and SX4 will also be introduced in The Auto Expo 2014 show. On the outside, it may   look more stylish than the current SX4 and promises to have as much space on the inside as the Nissan Sunny. Engine options include the 1.4-litre K-series petrol engine and a FIAT sourced 1.3-litre Multijet unit (called DDiS in MSIL’s lingo, the former available with both manual and automatic gearboxes. Performance driving lovers will be glad to know that both the suspension and steering setup will be tuned in such a way to make the enthusiasts happy.

Expected to be priced lower than the Verna, the 2014 SX4 could be the game changer that Maruti needs. It will be lighter than the current car but more feature rich, especially with things like Push-button starter etc. ABS and front air bags could be standard across the whole range.

The SX4 Crossover is likely to be More Bold and Sportier than The SX4 sedan. When Suzuki’s designers and engineers began developing the SX4 S-Cross they realised they needed to “think bigger” to be able to respond to customer expectations with regard to crossovers in Europe and other parts of the world.

Suzuki created the new SX4 S-Cross by combining its compact car know how with technologies honed for sport utility vehicles. As a result of focusing on giving the new S-Cross distinctive crossover styling, class leading space for passengers and luggage, next-generation 4WD performance and one of the lowest CO2 emissions in the segment, it achieves a remarkable combination of styling, utility, safety, performance and fuel economy.

Now here we go, and expect you to wait for the cars to arrive soon in India. Keep reading for more upcomings in 2014.
