Every one of us dreams of doing something different with our lives but not a lot of us would dream of transforming into mythical creatures when we grow up.
Meet Eva Tiamat Baphomet Medusa, a former transgender banker who has had her ears and nose removed in the quest to transform into what she believes is her “true form”, a mythical dragon.
55-year-old Eva Tiamat Medusa was born as Richard Hernandez in Maricopa County, Arizona, has been through various painful surgeries and inking in her life to become what she is today, a “Dragon Lady”. She calls herself Tiamat- a name of a video game dragon and likes to be referred as an “it” rather than a “he” or “she”.
Journey of her Reptilian Metamorphosis:
The Dragon Lady who wanted to spend her life as a real life Game of Thrones episode went through a £30,000 cosmetic surgery to achieve Voldemort nose and Double Van Gogh ears. She left no stones unturned when she got her forehead implanted with horns, got her tooth extracted and turned her eyes green.
Talk about following all the directions to a tee, Almost 95% of her body is covered in scales made of tattoos to resemble a lizard. Apart from this, she also has a forked tongue and her face full of tattoos.
From the Dragon’s Mouth:
For this dramatic transformation, Tiamat said,” “I am the Dragon Lady, a pre-op M2F (male to female) transgender in the process of morphing into a human dragon, becoming a reptoid as I shed my human skin and my physical appearance and my life as a whole leaving my humanness behind.
“My permanent full name is Eva Tiamat Baphomet Medusa, and I prefer to be referred to as an ‘it’, instead of ‘she’ and ‘her’.
“However, I won’t turn anyone into stone if people happen to inadvertently slip. I am morphing into what I call my true form as a once-mythical dragon.”
Is it really as crazy as it sounds?
Gone are the times when changing gender was unacceptable by the society. If men can defy genetics and change into women and women into men, can transforming into something right out of our beloved Harry Potter books termed as crazy? One would say that if we know what we want, it doesn’t really matter if we stay human or become an animal. Because we all are living beings fighting for survival. Insane or not, it all comes down to our own personal choices and what according to us, is the definition of ‘living’.
But on the other hand, don’t you think this is a case where perception takes over the reality? A reality which is overshadowed by this unusual situation and ignored by the world.
So maybe this could be a perfect example of the next wave of freedom and equality of this era. Maybe this could be a matter of serious concern and maybe Tiamat is as crazy as she/he/it sounds (looks).
