Quite often, certain religion and beliefs get in our way of sportsmanship. But Nike is first of its kind to realize the unnecessary obstructions lying in your way to help you succeed in your sport with unaltered spirit.
Nike has pro launched breathable hijab for female Muslim athletes as a solution to upholding principles and religion at the same time. Muslim women can finally represent themselves in the professional sportswear in what Nike calls as ‘Nike Pro Hijab’.
The garment is designed to tackle performance problems associated with wearing a traditional hijab during sports, taking into account its weight, lack of and the potential for it to shift during action.
This special design is made keeping in mind the Middle eastern temperature, made with polyester featuring tiny holes for optimal breathing. To avoid irritation and continuous rubbing, this extraordinary, signature designed and super easy hijab is made of fluff threads and is super stretchy which adapts to the wearer.
All great inventions take time, and so did this Hijab. It took 13 months to design with the help of professional and local athletes to fine tune the product.
This lucrative step by Nike is truly commendable and will be out in the market early in the next year. One thing which you beautiful women cannot actually wait for. Nevertheless, better late than never!
But perhaps more than anything the introduction of this breathable Hijab will allow women who wear it and up until now had been unable to participate in sports due to the complications with sportswear.
In retrospect, it is not only a inclusive step by Nike but also a sensitive one which shows an acceptance for the different cultures and faiths that exist in this world.
To add more to the fact, Nike Pro Hijab was unveiled on the same day as the Company presented its ‘fastest shoe ever’, which is designed to break the two hour marathon barrier. Hasn’t Nike been just revolutionary in all its products?
Now that’s what you call a business with a game changing invention to celebrate sportsmanship, womanhood and religion. How better could it be synchronized? Nike, it’s done right!
