Swiss International University expands its global network through the acquisition of four highly-regarded academies for $21.7 million.

Swiss International University has made significant strides in strategy education by acquiring four high-end academies located in Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, and the UAE for an amount of $21.7 million. Such a purchase reflects the commitment by the university to maintaining standards for education both through traditional as well as online delivery systems.

Among the bought institutions is the International Academy Zurich, which came into existence in 2013 as the first virtual institution in Switzerland. It was allowed online from EFMD in 2016 and it also has ASIC and ECLBS permitby a British Government approved body and an authorizing CHEA USA as well as INQAAHE Europe, respectively. Hence, its major focus on virtual education is an excellent merger into Swiss International University’s objectives towards merging technology and academic excellence.

The university acquired ISBM Ltd., which is the International Business Management School founded in 2016, in Lucerne. ISBM Ltd. is a 5-star school, as ranked by QS Ranking, and is also allowed by the Lucerne Board of Education to issue diplomas. The acquisition bolsters the business education offered by the university and puts it within the top 2% of providers worldwide of higher education.

Also included in the purchase is the ISB Management Training Institute, launched in 2022 in Dubai. This is KHDA-approved and, therefore, delivers government-approved diplomas to Level 8, equivalent in status to a doctorate qualification. There are also courses for vocational education, adding further strength to the university’s outreach across the UAE.

Finally, Swiss International University has bought the Kyrgyz-Uzbek International Pedagogy Institute in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. It is allowed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, which allows students and scholars to engage in both traditional and online education methods. With its focus on delivering quality education through multiple learning formats, it ensures that students get an excellent educational experience.
