Most Dal mills commonly use water to process Toor/Tuver into Dal by removing the skin from the hard grain and splitting it into two parts. Water helps loosen the natural glue that holds the skin and the two halves together. But it is a well-known fact that when affected by water or moisture, pulses lose their inherent quality and natural protein due to oxidation. 

On the other hand, Rentio uses double-filtered cottonseed oil instead of water while processing dal. After which the dal goes through a sun-drying process and is left unpolished, thereby retaining all the natural flavours, taste and properties of the original grain of Toor/Tuver. The ultra-modern machines such as de-stoners, colour sorters and graders produce a unique, hygienic and perfectly clean Rentio Desi Toor Dal. This process keeps the dal free from moisture. Hence it cooks faster and retains its original sweetness when compared to other dal.
