Well, well! It’s that time of the year again when nothing is more enticing that a steaming cup of coffee to provide comfort in this chilly winter. And who better to enjoy this coffee with than Mr. Karan Johar himself! And ,of course, his array of celebrity guests.
With ‘Koffee With Karan’ currently in its fourth season, expectations are soaring high. And why not? If the show’s history is quickly recapitulated, one realises that it has never failed to disappoint the gossip-mongers by feeding fuel to the fire. Remember the Deepika-Sonam episode in season 3? Well, that one caused quite a stir for almost about an year after it was aired. It has provided enough ‘entertainment’ for deprived people for three seasons now, so what is new in the current one? Well, for starters, the set is brand new and now has a retro feel to it. Also the most scandalous segment of the show ‘The Rapid Fire Round’ is now followed by the ‘Koffee Quiz’. And, of course,there are people like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan finally making their coveted debut on the show. While Shahrukh not kick-starting the season has led to a lot of conjectures that things are still not smooth between him and Karan,going by the glimpses of the already aired four episodes, this season is definitely NOT going to disappoint its fans. What with Salman declaring that he is still a ‘virgin’, Kareena leaving no stone unturned in teasing Ranbir about his relationship status with Katrina, Aamir stating that the only reason why he didn’t come in the previous three seasons was because he didn’t know Karan well and whatever little he knew of him, he didn’t like! And if by any chance you thought that the couth, civilised behaviour of the stars was undermining the fun factor of the show, don’t forget to watch the episode with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor aired on 22nd December. The ‘Dhina Dhin Dha’ madness left Karan exhausted at the end of the show and the stars themselves proclaimed that ‘This one would be tough to beat for a very long time’ and I can’t say I disagree with them!
So cheers to a promising start. Looking forward to more gossips, more bitching, more secrets, more scandals and much, much more fun! Break a leg guys!
