The Indian political arena was set ablaze by the vicious attacks PM Modi carried out in his two speeches in parliament yesterday. The Prime Minister was replying to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President’s address.
His speeches were both preceded and followed by angry sloganeering from opposition parties. Andhra MPs were displeased with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for not providing any special package for Andhra Pradesh in the Union Budget.
Meanwhile, in Rajya Sabha, TDP’s C.M. Ramesh was marshalled out, and TMC MPs staged a walkout.
Needless to say, the opposition’s comments after the speeches were not too pleasant either.
“We were waiting for the PM to make some serious response to the points raised by the opposition, he said nothing. Only Bhashan, no action, no vision. So after 15 minutes, TMC staged a walkout from Rajya Sabha while the PM was speaking” said Derek O’Brien, Trinamool Congress MP
All of this stemmed from the PM’s aforementioned speeches in which he touched upon Congress, Congress, and Congress.
This is what happens when a PM refuses to act like one and remains in election mode.
