The implementation of dual roles or doppelgangers have been a crucial trope in the supernatural universe for decades. Most of these themes revolve around horror, magic realism and fantasy. Some of the most popular clichés would be an evil twin, a long lost twin or two people who look the same and are brought together by fate.
Identity is very personal and tropes like identity possession or doppelgangers tend to leave an audience wanting for more owing to the myriads of questions it leaves them with.
