Ghazal Alagh, co-founder of Mamaearth, an Indian personal care brand that sells products for babies, moms, and the family as a whole, was in the list of India’s top 10 female entrepreneurs published by IDFC Bank (Infrastructure Development Finance Company) in December of last year.
She recently posted a video on Instagram where she talked about 5 statements women should feel free to say. “These 5 Power Phrases will boost your confidence (everyone can use them) like magic. It’s time to Silence the self-doubt and crush it at work,” she captioned her video.
The post received a lot of support and appreciation. Netizens very much agreed with her. The comment section was flooded with comments like, “Ghazal, you are so inspiring, and seeing you brings a different kind of positivity.“
Another user said, “Agree, in fact, all of us should be able to say this.” Not only that, Ghazal has been one of the judges of Shark Tank, India, which features young entrepreneurs pitching their startups to get funding.

She has been very active on social media platforms and has been sharing a wide range of suggestions on various topics, such as the “100 hour rule,” which is about mastering a skill and practising it deliberately for 100 hours.
In another such post, she talked about how she hires her team, writing, “Your company is nothing without your team members. So, your hiring game should be top-notch.”
Adding on, she said, “Here’s what helps me: Before hiring someone, I make it a habit to ask myself: “What are the 3 areas where this person is better than me?” This helps me prioritise hiring people I truly value and want to build with for the long term.“
