World’s cheapest smartphone, Freedom251 has been creating frenzy all across the country. Introduced by the Noida –based Ringing Bells on 17th this month, the smartphone is all about providing “Freedom” to the country. The phone went on sale on 18th at its official website Freedom251.com for just a meagre price of Rs.251 in the country and all the buyers dashed to get themselves registered in the list of top buyers.
Specs and Features:
The phone is said to have features only one can dream of at the price of Rs.251. And not only that, the phone will also be preinstalled with apps like Women Safety, Swachh Bharat, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, Fisherman, Medical, Farmer and Google Play.
How Ringing Bells Ruled our Alarms.
Taking inspiration from the Indian Railways, the bookings opened at 6 in the morning on Thursday, the 18th and were supposed to last until 21st February. All was good until the users bombarded the website and the company turned out to be as meretricious as its product. The website received 6lakh hits per second and crashed. However, the bookings resumed soon. If that wasn’t enough, the company shut down its bookings on 20th itself due to heavy demand of the phone. Now isn’t it what we call ultimate thug life??

IPhones have influenced us so much that even the cheapest phones can’t help but dream to become like them one day. The body of the phone resembles an iPhone in almost every aspect. It has the same circular button and icons like those of browser, email and calculator. Now all we have to do is get popcorns, wait for Apple to sue the company and kiss the budget phones goodbye.

The smartphone which is a part of the Modi’s “Made in India” initiative is actually a Chinese product that has its logo covered by a whitener.
