Pune, India, July 12, 2025: In an epoch-making moment for student-led diplomacy, DSK School commenced the third edition of its Model United Nations (DSK MUN 2025), reinforcing its status as a premier educational institution, nurturing the next generation of critical thinkers and global citizens. The event was graced by Hon. Shri. Avinash Dharmadhikari, former IAS officer and celebrated youth mentor, as the Guest of Honour.
The DSK MUN 2025 spanned July 12th to the 14th, welcoming young delegates from schools across Maharashtra to recreate high-stakes international negotiations on pressing global matters. The topics discussed included climate security, refugee rights, orbital debris regulation, and digital privacy.
While addressing the young delegates, Mr. Dharmadhikari emphasised the role of youth in shaping policy discourse and urged students to lead with courage, clarity, and conscience. Encouraging the students, he shared, “It is your voice, grounded in research, reason, and compassion, that will shape the policies of tomorrow.”
Over the three days of the event, delegates participated in nine committees, including the United Nations Security Council, ECOSOC, UNHRC, and AIPPM. A dedicated Maharashtra Legislative Assembly committee was also included to ensure the participation of underprivileged students, reflecting the institute’s commitment to outreach and inclusivity.
