Cheap Tweet Compares Suhana Khan, Sara Tendulkar’s Beauty At IPL Match

Netizens recently chastised a Twitter user for comparing herself to Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara. Suhana and Sara were spotted at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday for the match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Mumbai Indians.

Here’s What Happened

While Suhana was wearing a KKK jersey to support her father’s squad, Sara was wearing a Mumbai Indians jersey to support the local team. The two’s photos went viral, and one Twitter user published them side by side to compare their complexion tones.

A Twitter user shared photos of Sara Tendulkar and Suhana Khan cheering for their respective teams during Sunday’s IPL play. He wrote captions for the photos, “This is Beauty… wtf is this,” mentioning the latter phrase over Suhana’s picture.

How Netizens Reacted?

Netizens were quick to call out the colourist and misogynist tweet in which Khan got put down merely because of her skin tone.

A user retweeted, “This is the reason why many celebrities don’t want to show their children’s faces to the public. Can’t believe colourism still exists in this country.” Another one wrote, “the colourism is alive & thriving in this country.”

Another user wrote, “I only see two young women with heavy generational wealth minding their business while a colourist dumbass stays obsessed with them.”

One user commented, “Indians still think fair skin is epitome of beauty or whatever. I’m not even shocked ykw, I have experienced this throughout my whole life and I still do :))”

Not The First Time

This is not the first time Suhana has been ridiculed because of her skin colour, nor is she the only celebrity or celebrity kid who has been chastised for it. While Suhana has not responded to the trolls, comments on her Instagram profile have continued to subject her to such harassment.

Similarly, Ajay Devgn and Kajol’s daughter Nysa has been criticised for her skin tone. Throughout the world, India is known for its colorism and preference for light skin. Some have even blamed colonisation for the rise of such a mindset.
