Breakfast Babble is ED’s own little space on the interwebs where we gather to discuss ideas and get pumped up (or not) for the day. We judge things too. Sometimes. Always. Whatever, call it catharsis and join in people.

Getting one full day to yourself to do whatever you feel like and vent out all your tiredness, stress, and tons of work you did the entire week, feels so good, doesn’t it? Sunday is that wonderful day when you don’t feel guilty for doing absolutely nothing.

Sunday is my favourite day of the week, and I am sure that it must be yours too. Here’s why I think so.

As school children, we used to wait for the weekend to have two full days to ourselves but now that has reduced to just a Sunday every week.

When you’ve had a very long and hectic week, you wait eagerly for Sunday to arrive so that you can relieve all your stress.

I’ve kept all my leisure time for this day itself. It feels so relaxing to do nothing on a Sunday, especially when I’ve worked very hard the six days. I am sleep-deprived most of the time and it is on Sunday when I catch up on all the missing hours of sleep.

Taking long showers, with no stress of being late for work or college, and then having your brunch peacefully, is a stress buster. Depending on the type of your mood, you decide whether it’s going to be a lazy Sunday or do you have the energy to dress up and go out.

Since we’ve caused a lot of global warming, the heat does not allow us to enjoy the outdoors. Thus, I sit back with my novel and spend rejuvenating hours in a marathon to complete as much part of it as I can.

One of the best parts of my Sunday is the long drive in the evening. Putting on some music according to my will and taste, and driving wherever the roads take me during the sunset is a scene straight out of the movies.

And then the day is still not over when I return home because it’s time for some movies. I have made a list of movies I want to watch and tick that list every Sunday. Ending the day with a dine-out with my family refreshes me beyond measure.

The most boring Sundays are the ones when I have to study for an exam the next day or complete my pending work. It feels so annoying that I try my level best to complete all the work on Saturday so that I don’t have to work during the next 24 hours.

When you spend your Sunday only doing what you like, you feel very motivated to return to work or study on Monday. Everyone deserves a break and should take one. Universally, the expected day to take a break is a Sunday; so utilize it to its fullest

Is Sunday your favourite day of the week too? How do you spend your Sundays? Let us know in the comments below.
