Abhishek Salvi, an artist and illustrator (26) from Vadodara (Gujarat), has an amazingly inspiring story that can persuade a lot of people. While his talk he told us stories of his life and his art that are super inspiring.
He has been into art since the young age of 16, being a child whose father had a beautiful hand on art and mother who was into textile design he always got inspired by them.
He was heartbroken and lost when his father passed away when he was only 18. He has been through disturbing problems and situations since.
After his school, he got into the faculty of fine arts, movie making. He loved it but he was never able to put up his 100% into it as he had to make portraits to make a bit of money. People would not believe he was discouraged and was sometimes looked down on in his college by his faculties, as they called him a copy artist and laughed at his work. They once even said to him in his jury that the work he is doing the portraits you are making has nothing to appreciate. But he still believed and never gave up.
And soon he had to quit college for good. After the demise of his only brother when he was in 3rd year in his family, his mother had no one to look after and they had no one to provide for them.
His only hope and inspiration was his art of portraits that stayed with him. He has always believed a lot in his art and his skills. Once he knew that to survive he would have to upgrade his skills. It was then that he started learning digital paintings and illustrations. He has been working on digital medium for the past 5 years. And he has never given up on his commitments and beliefs.
Although still struggling with disturbing situations in the family, he has never given up. He is still going and planning on doing something substantial.
Many popular personalities like Vin Diesel, Amanda Cerny, Tom Felton, Malika Arora, Hardik Pandya, Tapsee Pannu, and many more have appreciated his digital artworks.
He has worked on a freelance basis for more than 1200 people.
Abhishek says, “I can never give up on my art. I never would have been happy without my skills and my art. I always believed that my art will always make me stand out, it will always inspire me to do more.”
