Global Innovators from Dubai’s Leap 71 Inspire Students on the Future of Engineering and AI
Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU), renowned for its future-focused education and global collaborations, hosted an exclusive and interactive lecture on Computational Engineering and Artificial Intelligence on October 3, 2025.
The session was led by Mr. Lin Kayser and Ms. Josefine Lissner, globally acclaimed innovators and co-founders of Leap 71, Dubai: a pioneering organization driving advancements in computational design and AI-led engineering.
The event, organized at ADYPU’s cutting-edge campus in DY Patil Knowledge City, Pune, offered students a rare opportunity to interact with thought leaders redefining how engineering, computation, and artificial intelligence intersect to shape the future of industries and innovation.
The programme commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, graced by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Sudhakar Shinde, Registrar, alongside the distinguished guests.
Following the felicitation of the speakers, Dr. Jain extended heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble President Dr. Ajeenkya D.Y. Patil for his visionary leadership in bringing such global knowledge events to the university.
In his address, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jain highlighted: “At ADYPU, we believe in bridging academia and the real world through interactions that inspire students to think beyond boundaries. Engaging with innovators like Lin and Josefine helps our students see the transformative power of computational thinking and AI, not as distant concepts but as tools of creation, imagination, and societal progress.”
During the session, Mr. Kayser and Ms. Lissner presented their groundbreaking research in areas such as 3D printing, rocket motor simulation, and computational AI-driven engineering systems. They demonstrated how advanced algorithms are now capable of generating highly optimized precision designs for complex applications: from rocket propulsion systems to hypersonic vehicles.
One of the session’s highlights was the live demonstration of AI-enabled 3D printing and propulsion simulation, allowing students to witness how digital computation directly translates into physical innovation.
An engaging Q&A session followed, where students posed insightful questions about the ethical, creative, and scientific implications of computational intelligence.
The event also underscored ADYPU’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
Situated in Pune’s vibrant DY Patil Knowledge City, Ajeenkya DY Patil University stands as a hub of innovation and academic excellence. The university offers a diverse portfolio of forward-thinking undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering, Design, Management, Media, Architecture, Filmmaking, and Law, all aimed at equipping students with the skills and mindset required to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.
