AI is everywhere. It writes our emails, recommends our playlists, predicts our spending habits, and even tells us when our bank accounts look “suspicious.” But when it comes to money, the real, emotional, dream-fuel kind, 24-year-old finance nerd and multi-business entrepreneur Chirag Jain says, “Hold up. AI is cool, but humans still win.”

In a TEDx talk that felt more like a reality check than a lecture, Chirag took the audience through his own journey, from being a hardcore “AI will change everything” believer to someone who now sees the much-needed balance.

Like every other young professional, he first saw AI as the superhero of finance. It analyses balance sheets in seconds. It finds market patterns we can’t. It works 24/7 and never gets tired. Sounds impressive and almost unbeatable, right?

Not really.

Chirag shares a surprising story. He worked (remotely) with two companies managing billions of dollars. Zero PR. Zero online presence. Yet both delivered insanely high returns, around 200%, year after year.

Naturally, he tried feeding their techniques into ChatGPT and other AI platforms.

The result? AI stared back blankly.

And that’s when it clicked, finance is not pure maths; it’s emotion.

When markets crash, most people don’t ask their AI tool what to do. They call their dad, or their financial advisor, or their one wise friend. Fear, hope, dreams, insecurity, confidence, these things still shape decisions more than any algorithm.

But the best part of Chirag’s talk is how he keeps it real for young Indians. He’s not anti-AI. He’s just anti-over-dependence. He believes the future belongs to people who can combine both AI for speed and humans for sense. AI for data and humans for meaning.

He calls it Augmented Humanity, humans with superpowers, not humans replaced.

Coming from someone who’s explored and found his way around almost everything from equity markets to jewellery businesses to D2C brands, this perspective hits differently.

His message to the youth is simple. He wants the youth to learn AI, use it, and leverage it. But don’t forget to remain human, empathetic, intuitive, calm, and grounded. That’s where the real edge lies.
