In an industry that is only interested in making money, there are some films that could turn out to be potential classics. These films may or may not be the best films but are surely something that would give the future generation something to talk about.
So here is a list of movies, from the 2010s, that according to me are destined to become classics.
1. The Social Network
Based on the life of the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, this film is well scripted, impeccably directed and humorous at right places. Filled with fine performances by Jessie Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, and Andrew Garfield, this movie will surely be remembered by the future generation.
2. Inception
It is said that Christopher Nolan took 10 years to finish the screenplay of this movies. In this movie, a thief who infiltrates the minds of others and steals their ideas is paid by a billionaire to ‘introduce’ an idea in the mind of the billionaire’s rival.
3. The Lunch Box
The Lunch Box is one of the few Bollywood films that is loved both critically and by the audience. the movie is based on how a wrong delivery in Mumbai’s lunchbox delivery system, connects an elderly widower to a young housewife.
4. Wolf Of Wall Street
The Wolf of Wall Street is an American crime dark comedy directed by Martin Scorsese. The movie is a real life story of a wealthy stock-broker living a luxurious life to his fall involving crime and corruption.
5. Skyfall
One of the best 007 movies ever, Skyfall is beautifully directed and Daniel Craig more than lives up to the expectations. From hot women to amazing gizmos and sweet rides, the movie has it all.
6. Udaan
Supposedly based on the life of Anurag Kashyap, this is one of best Hindi movies ever. It is based on the life of a boy who gets expelled from boarding school only to come home to his abusive father.
7. Gone Girl
Gone Girl tells a story of a professor and a blocked writer who comes in the spotlight of the media after his wife’s sudden disappearance.
8. Whiplash
This movie is definitely going to be remembered as one of the best music films of all times. With the budget of $3.3 million, the movie managed to win various Oscars and a place in our hearts.
9. Inside Out
Anything that is a work of Disney and Pixar is sure to become a classic. Taking place inside the head of an 11-year-old, this movie is moving and will make you laugh and cry at the same time.
10. Birdman
This Best Picture Oscar winner is one of the most innovative and the entertaining movie of all times. The film is about how a formerly famous actor recovers his career and himself in the days leading to the opening night of his play.
