“Who Doesn’t Love Ample Money Coming In Their Treasury,” Kejriwal On Having Liquor Shops At Delhi Metro Stations (Satire)

Fake Friendly Fridays is a section where we pick a famous personality and throw fake questions at him/her and in return, we receive fake answers. Why should you not take it seriously? Because it is fake.

If you still didn’t get it: This is a fake interview written purely on the basis of the author’s imagination of how the actual interview would have been if we got the chance to interview these famous (some, for all the wrong reasons) personalities in real life. In short, just have a good laugh!

Hello there, Fake Friendly Friday readers!

Welcome to a new episode of FFF where we interview famous personalities so that you can have a good laugh. Today we have with us a very special guest who is also known by the name “muffler man”. Any guesses?

Well, you are right. It is Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal!

Arvind Kejriwal enters the studio wearing his signature muffler and white cap.

ED Times: Hello sir! How are you doing?

Arvind Kejriwal: Hello! Thanks for inviting me. I am doing great.

ED Times: We hope that you are comfortable in that attire.

Arvind Kejriwal: Yes, of course. Be it summers or winters, muffler and cap is my go-to style.

ED Times: (Laughs) Yes, it surely is. So, we heard that you have decided to open liquor shops in Delhi metro stations.

Arvind Kejriwal: Yes, we have been thinking about it for a very long time. I think it is a very wise decision on our part.

ED Times: (awkward) Umm… okay. What were the thoughts behind this decision?

Arvind Kejriwal: We all know that a large public uses the metros to travel so it made sense to open liquor shops within the metro stations so that people can have easy access to them. Like they can buy it while going back home or while visiting their friends.

ED Times: (getting awkward) Well, that’s a great reason, but we already have enough liquor shops in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal: I feel that the more the shops, the more the profit. Who doesn’t love ample money coming into the treasury?

ED Times: I was wondering if this leads to more alcoholics in Delhi and its consequences like people traveling drunk in the metro or alcoholics troubling women who travel in the metro.

Arvind Kejriwal: Well, we don’t have to worry about that, you know. Delhi has been dealing with alcoholics for a very long time, so, it is okay. I don’t feel that the situation will become worse.

ED Times: (clears throat) So, do you think people will laud this decision?

Arvind Kejriwal: Of course, who doesn’t love having a glass of alcohol after a long day at work or on weekends?

Liquor shops open in certain Delhi metro stations

ED Times: We’ll have to see that. Do you plan on expanding this project to other metro stations in Delhi as well?

Arvind Kejriwal: Yes, for sure. Currently, the liquor shops have opened in nine metro stations, and gradually we’ll expand the project further.

ED Times: (shocked) For real?

Arvind Kejriwal: Yes! I don’t feel there’s any harm in that.

The interviewer is surprised and unable to speak, so he gestures to the team to stop recording.

Arvind Kejriwal: Wait, why would you do that? I was having fun in the interview.

The ED Times’ team starts leaving.

Arvind Kejriwal: Oh, wait, wait… where are you guys going?

Arvind Kejriwal starts chasing the ED Times’ team.
