If this wasn’t enough to entice his indigenous fan following, he added fuel to the fire by posting a picture that left everyone stunned.

However, the news that has created a frenzy in the entertainment industry is that of Will Smith’s appearance on Karan Johar’s iconic show, Koffee With Karan.

Will’s Desi Connection

It’s a pleasure to see Smith becoming a part of Bollywood and the Indian entertainment industry in whatever capacity possible. However, what exactly is it that draws him to India? His arrival in the country time and again, has excited his fans here and abroad.

Perhaps it is the fact that he wants to widen his horizons by becoming a part of Indian cinema and culture or maybe it’s the fact that his Hollywood career isn’t at the peak that it used to be.

Smith is the face of some iconic movies like Men In Black, Hancock, and Pursuit of Happyness, all of which did well at the box office. He is also a recognised face with the younger generation and is flooding meme culture.

His proximity to actors like Akshay Kumar perhaps is another reason which propels him to come to India and immerse himself in it, time and again.

He recently said in an interview “The one thing I’d love to do, but I won’t be able to-it’s a tragedy- is I would love to go back to Akshay’s house for dinner”.

Well, whatever Will’s reasons are for coming back to us repeatedly, we will always welcome him with open arms. His fan base in India is quite substantial and is always looking forward to seeing him in as many Indian ventures as possible.
