Oscar Predictions by Economy decoded…

Alright… it’s the time of the year when those outstanding nominations from all over the world are recognized and most prestigiously rewarded. Yes… the countdown has begun for the 86th academy awards. And this is a mere prediction that will ensure to play alongside your instincts. Now this solely happens for the best picture nominees. The 85th Academy Awards® will air live on Oscar® Sunday, February 24, 2013. Academy award fun fact- This is one of those years after seemingly a very long time that the maximum number of nominees are mere biopics of great personalities.   And the nominees are… 1. American Hustle This is the one film which has the star cast of the decade. Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jenifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner. And the best part cameo appearance of the living legend Robert De Niro. Now with a star cast like this, I’m sure this film would’ve been nominated even if the artists pass a ball among themselves for the whole running time. A very brief biopic of a small time con artist who in the verge of making it big ends up helping the F.B.I. A fabulous screenplay written and a complete packed entertainer. 2. Captain Phillips A True Story of Captain Richard Phillips whose shocking encounter with Somalian pirates in the international waters and his rescue. Starring the versatile Tom Hanks, this movie is to be watched solely for him. It is only him who could have portrayed such a character. No one could’ve even come close to his performance. It’s one of those films in the nominees that will keep you in the edge of your seat all through. 3. Dallas Buyers Club Another Biopic of Ron Woodroof in the 1980’s. These were times when awareness of AIDS wasn’t so much. And this person’s survival through such times stands an inspiration to a millions. This story has been passed on for so long and finally when made created a boom with Matthew McConaughey in the lead. Well it can be said Matthew gave the performance of his career in this movie. The climax pays off everything you’ve been waiting to see in the whole movie. 4. Gravity A first of its kind outer space movie and probably a milestone in them. With stars like George Clooney and Sandra Bullock portraying floating astronauts in outer space it is convinced that this movie is literally out this world. The film is basically a survival of an unexpected outer space catastrophe and a humanly connection at such distances. This movie does have a firm gravity to keep you mesmerized all through. 5. Her A beautiful portrayal of the growing moral distances between humans far into the future. A time when human moral support is replaced by pre-programmed virtual operating systems which makes you fall in love with itself. Voiced by Scarlett Johansson. Well I think her voice is enough to appeal anybody. But the perfidy is something worth watching in the movie. 6. Nebraska “NEBRASKA” is a father and son road trip, from Billings, Montana to Lincoln, Nebraska that gets waylaid at a small town in central Nebraska, where the father grew up and has scores to settle. Told with deadpan humor and a unique visual style, it’s ultimately the story of a son trying to get through to a father he doesn’t understand. 7. Philomena The story of a mother who kept her secret for 50 years has been portrayed here… The mother is played by none other than Judi Dench, who impersonates the real-life person Philomena Lee, who has kept her secret of her lost son for 50 years after which she decides to find out. A heart wrenching and warm story. The film is an adaption of the book by Martin Sixsmith, who himself is in the story and helps Philomena through her journey to discover the painful truth. 8. 12 years a slave Another adaption from the famous book called 12 years a slave by Solomon Northup, who’s played by Chiwetel Ejiofor. It is a painful Story of a free black man in the late 1800’s, who’s kidnapped and tricked into forced slavery and his rescue after 12 years. Nothing but tears in your eyes is what you will expect when you finish watching this movie. No other story would you’ve felt more painful and sorrowful than this one. It moves you so deep that you mourn yourself for the characters suffering. 9. The Wolf of Wall Street Well if you want to the most enthralling 3 hours of your time, then this is the movie you need to choose to give a watch. Yet another but last in the lot of biopic’s is this incredible story of the best sales person in the world Jordan Belfort. And Leonardo DiCaprio pulled it off like never before. From his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the highlife to his fall involving crime, corruption, drugs and the federal government. Leo has yet again given such a pleasing performance that you assume him to have gone through all those things in reality.   After an intense period of assessing all the nominees it’s now time for the prediction…   And the Award goes to. . . . . . . Drum rolls… . . . This is just a mere prediction.. Reality is subject to change..
