Nostalgic Tweets For The Author Of Physics Bible Receiving Padma Shri

There are some books that are not just books, but saviors for students to help them pass their exams and teach them the basics. Books by NCERT, of course, are on that list. You would also remember having a copy of RD Sharma’s Mathematics books. Doing that meant that you were prepared for any level of difficulty of questions.

If you were a science student, then you would remember one such book – Dr. HC Verma’s Physics books. Physics is one of the most dreaded subjects that we deal with in the science stream. So, everyone required a book that explains even the most complicated topics (looking at you, Rotational motion) in the simplest manner.

Dr. HC Verma’s books did exactly that. Almost every student in the class had a copy of it. It helped to clarify concepts that came in handy for competitive exams like JEE and NEET as well. Dr. Verma understood the assignment quite well!

Already a hero for students, his efforts are now being nationally recognized by the Government as well. He was felicitated with Padma Shri – the 4th highest civilian award by President Ram Nath Kovind.

Twitter’s Heartwarming Reaction

His books have saved many, including me, from flunking the Physics exam in 11th and 12th. Needless to say, it has a special place in my heart and that of many like me. His felicitation filled us with the nostalgia of our student and exam days.

A Twitter user jokes that the director Rohit Shetty and actor Salman Khan, both of whom are infamous for defying Laws of Physics in their movies, should read the books

People also mentioned how academicians like RD Sharma and RS Agarwal should also receive the honor for their work in the education field.

Twitteratis didn’t forget to mention his famous monkey pulley questions.

Very nostalgic indeed!
