Wabisabi Studio is set to bring together artists, musicians, creators, independent brands and culture enthusiasts for KalaaVerse’26, an immersive subculture festival taking place on August 15 at Loop Skatepark, Perumanoor, Kochi.

KalaaVerse aims to create a community-driven creative ecosystem that brings together artists, musicians, designers, makers, performers, facilitators, and conscious individuals through immersive experiences.

This is further shown in their tagline for the event: Create • Connect • Celebrate.

Born of the vision to build stronger creative communities, KalaaVerse exists to bridge the gap between independent artists and meaningful opportunities. We believe art should not exist in isolation. It should be experienced, shared, supported, and celebrated.

The Kochi edition marks the next evolution of KalaaVerse, inspired by the creative spirit of Goa and the conscious philosophy that emerged in Manali. KalaaVerse Kochi is designed as a one-day immersive experience where creativity, culture, sustainability, and community come together.

The festival will feature:

  • Interactive art workshops
  • Graffiti and live mural painting
  • Community canvas experiences
  • Upcycled fashion showcases
  • Tattoo and illustration pop-ups
  • Independent creative marketplace
  • Conscious living and wellness experiences
  • Aroma therapy and healing spaces
  • Hip-hop cyphers and freestyle sessions
  • House Music and Drum & Bass performances
  • Open jam sessions
  • Collaborative installations
  • Networking spaces for artists, creators, and creative entrepreneurs

The event is also extremely sustainable in its approach, using eco-conscious décor, reused and upcycled materials, responsible production methods, mindful workshops, and collaborating with artists and brands that value ethical and sustainable practices.

Beyond being a festival, KalaaVerse seeks to celebrate Kochi’s growing alternative creative culture by giving artists and audiences a space to experiment, collaborate and connect.

Built to help independent creatives grow sustainably, the event will be supporting artists by creating opportunities to:

  • Showcase their work to new audiences.
  • Sell original artworks, handmade products, and creative merchandise.
  • Facilitate workshops and earn through sharing their knowledge.
  • Perform live in front of engaged and supportive communities.
  • Collaborate across disciplines with musicians, designers, filmmakers, photographers, dancers, writers, and makers.
  • Connect with brands, venues, festivals, and potential clients.
  • Build long-term creative partnerships.
  • Receive visibility through our storytelling, digital platforms, and community network.
  • Exchange skills, ideas, and experiences within an inclusive creative environment.

The event’s ecosystem also welcomes visual artists, muralists, illustrators, tattoo artists, musicians, DJs, dancers, performers, filmmakers, photographers, fashion designers, artisans, wellness practitioners, sustainable brands, and creative entrepreneurs who believe in collaboration over competition.

With a mix of masterclasses, immersive experiences, music and community-led activities, KalaaVerse ’26 positions itself as a celebration of creativity in all its forms.
