Jaipur Based Skincare Startup Has Served More Than 1 Mn Customers, Raises 110 Crores

The way our skin looks matters a lot because it is the first thing that catches someone’s attention. Hence, we must keep our skin healthy and glowing. So, here we have Minimalist, a skincare brand that is a perfect solution for all your skincare problems.

Let’s Meet The Startup

The Jaipur based startup was founded in October 2020 by Mohit Yadav and Rahul Yadav with the vision to add transparency in the beauty and skincare industry. Many beauty and skincare brands lure customers by making false claims and advice, and that motivated Minimalist to add “transparency” as their main motto.

Co-founders at Minimalist believe that products without chemicals don’t exist as water itself is a chemical, and thus, no brand is 100% organic and chemical-free. They feel that instead of rubbing juices of fruits directly onto our skins, we must use the Glycolic Acid present in these fruits.

What we strive for instead is ‘Clean Beauty’ products. Products that are free from well-researched toxins and do not sensitise your skin – irrespective of their natural or naturally derived tag,” say the co-founders.

Hence, the brand is committed to providing you transparency in beauty by showing the active ingredients they have used, suppliers and trade name of the ingredients and by using clean formulations.

How They Are Doing It

Since the launch of the startup, Minimalist provides customers with a range of serums that target various skin problems. Currently, they have 17 face serums and a product in the hair care category as well.

The startup is unique as they list all the ingredients used in the creation of a product, and they strongly believe that not all the chemicals are harmful for our skin.

Mohit, the co-founder of the startup states, “When you hear the word chemicals, you think of a few doctors in a lab experimenting with beakers and test tubes. And natural means plants and outdoors. But not all chemicals are bad for us. And creating that awareness has been the biggest challenge for us.”

They have used the power of social media to advertise their products and have built a strong community of users on various platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
