Henna or Mehendi as it is called in India is being used in the subcontinent for a few thousand years.
It’s often applied on the body, mainly hands, during weddings and other traditional festivals.
In the West, mehendi was popularized as ‘Henna Tattoos’.
The earthy green colour of the substance transforms into an orange-brown stain on drying.
