In Pics: The Greatest Queer Women And Non-Binary Television Couples

More often than not, a lot of us are still unaware of what the terms “queer” and “non-binary” entails. Queer is an umbrella term that encompasses all sexual orientations other than heterosexual or cisgender, that is, being straight.

However, the term non-binary has a wide range of gender expressions. Since time immemorial, people have always identified themselves as men or women. These identities are a person’s assigned sex at birth. However, there have always been people who identify as a gender that isn’t assigned to them at birth. All of those people are transgender, and some of them do not identify as women or men.

Finding love can be taxing when the dating system largely focuses on cisheteronormative society, which erases the experiences that nonbinary people face in romance. However despite the challenges when you exist as your most authentic self, there is also so much beauty in finding love — and it’s totally possible.

Here is a list of TV series and movies that celebrates the relationship between queer women and non-binary couples:

Portrait Of A Lady On Fire (2019)

Marianne and Heloise

Sex Education (2019-2021)

Lily and Ola

The Haunting of Bly Manor

Jamie and Dani
