Unless you’ve been living under a rock, chances are your Instagram feed has already crossed paths with a Ravi Kishan reel.
Whether it’s an over-the-top dialogue, an unintentionally hilarious English phrase or yet another meme edit, the actor-turned-politician has become almost impossible to escape online.
Ravi Kishan began his acting career in Bollywood, largely in supporting roles, before becoming one of Bhojpuri cinema’s biggest superstars.
Today, however, the BJP MP from Gorakhpur seems to be making headlines less for his films or even his politics and more for accidentally supplying the internet with an endless stream of meme material.
From football clubs using his audio to Instagram creators claiming their feeds have been completely taken over by him, Ravi Kishan has evolved into an entire online genre.
And the funniest part? He insists he isn’t trying to be funny at all. The internet, meanwhile, appears to have reached a very different conclusion.
The Alliance Exit That Sent Instagram Into Overdrive
If Ravi Kishan’s meme career had a turning point, Alliance was probably it. Appearing on the reality show alongside his daughter Riva, he managed to turn a routine elimination into what sounded suspiciously like a classified government briefing.
Instead of a simple goodbye, he declared, “System ko message aaya hai ki, aapko turant aapke desh ki duty par bulaya ja raha hai. Isiliye aapko is waqt headquarters ko alvida bolna hoga.”

Instead of a routine farewell, it sounded more like Ravi Kishan had been summoned for a covert mission. One would think Bihar had entered wartime. Within hours, creators were remixing it into videos about leaving work early, exiting WhatsApp groups and escaping awkward family gatherings.
The memes quickly took on a life of their own. One creator imagined Ravi Kishan reporting straight to the border, while another joked he seemed far more committed to “desh ki duty” on reality TV than to his actual parliamentary duties.
Soon “Brigadier Ravi Kishan” and “headquarters” had become punchlines for the internet’s most dramatic exits.

Creator Adarsh Suyal joked that his entire Instagram feed had become Ravi Kishan content, with every scroll leading to another dialogue, dance clip or meme. He also teased that he had yet to see Ravi Kishan do one good deed in the name of “desh ki duty.”
Even comedian Harsh Gujral admitted that the “only superstar he now wants to meet is Ravi Kishan”, joking that the actor had become a regular in his dreams. Harsh also called himself a certified “Ravi Kishan paglu.”
The internet, it seemed, had officially entered its Ravi Kishan era.

“Money Follows My Brotha”
If Alliance gave Instagram a viral audio, Raj Shamani’s podcast gave it an entire Ravi Kishan cinematic universe.
The undisputed star of the interview was one simple line: “Money follows, my brotha”. Delivered with complete confidence, it instantly became meme material. Finance pages, motivational creators and everyday Instagram users adopted it for everything from investment jokes to life advice.

But it wasn’t just the quote. It was Ravi Kishan’s effortless switching between Hindi, Bhojpuri and English, his dramatic expressions and his complete conviction while saying even the most bizarre things, leaving the internet wondering whether to take notes or make memes.
Creator Chetan Goel joked that Ravi Kishan should simply launch an audiobook because the internet clearly wasn’t done listening to him, even calling him “this generation’s Osho.”

Not Everyone Is Laughing
Ravi Kishan’s meme fame has also sparked criticism online. In a thread on r/bollynewsandgossips titled “Why is Lok Sabha MP from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan not scrutinised for featuring in so many movies and shows despite having low attendance unlike Kangana Ranaut who keeps being questioned”, users debated whether his entertainment career was eclipsing his political responsibilities.
One user wrote, “Aur crime rates kya badh rahe hai Gorakhpur mai, this month at least 5-6 times it was in headlines. Being legislative member he should take some accountability for this.”
Another user wrote, “He is everywhere. every movie, series and now reality shows too. Politics toh hai hi kuch din mein doctor ki jagah bhi lega.”
The thread wasn’t just about Ravi Kishan’s memes. It also reflected a broader criticism, with several users arguing that viral catchphrases and entertainment appearances often receive more attention than questions around public accountability.
The irony isn’t lost. The same internet that turned Ravi Kishan into a meme sensation is now using those very memes to spark conversations about celebrity politics, public office and the responsibility that comes with both.
The Man Behind The Memes
One thing that seems consistent through Ravi Kishan’s viral journey, however, is that he appears largely unfazed by it.
