In Pics: Annoying Things Mothers Do On Facebook

Moms have been known to make some...embarrassing errors while using social media. Here's a list of the top 7.

Mothers have been known to do some rather annoying things on Facebook due to the fact that a large number of people from their generation are technologically inept.

Here are some of the most embarrassing “mom” moments on Facebook that most people have been through.

Uploading Pictures We’d Rather Forget

In the eyes of our mothers, we will forever be little children. This is why when we are trying to project a cool, collected, grown-up front on Facebook (where many of us are friends with our bosses), it all comes crashing down when mom uploads that “cute” (read: embarrassing) childhood pic of you half-naked on the potty, drooling at the camera.

Incorrect Use Of Abbreviations

There legit exist some moms on Facebook who believe that LOL stands for “Lots of Love” and not Laugh out Loud. While it is common for parents not to be up-to-date with the abbreviations used on the Internet, this one takes the cake as far as inappropriate usage goes.

Note: Do NOT comment “LOL” on a deceased relative’s picture. If you want to send love, TYPE IT OUT FULLY!

Signing Off From Comments With Their Own Name

When one comments using Facebook, your name is shown at the top of the comment. Which makes it rather redundant to sign off once again with “Love, Tara Aunty.” Or worse, adding your qualifications along with your name (I have an aunt who does that).

Ruining Swag-Wale Pics With Lovey-Dovey Captions

Yes, mom, you love us. We love you too, more than you can imagine. But please, please don’t ruin our attempts to project a cool and badass image on Facebook by coochie-cooing us in public. We much prefer it in the privacy of our homes.

Uploading Bhagwan-ji Pics Randomly

Mom, it’s really sweet of you to wish everyone a good morning. Every day. Whether they actually care or not. But why the random picture of Ganesha/Jesus/Buddha/Guru Nanak/Quran verse?

Mistaking Facebook For Google

Mom, Facebook is a social media site, not a search engine. So if you want to enter keywords to find something, please use Google or some other search engine and not your Facebook status box. Kthnx.

Accepting Friend Requests From Strangers

Not everyone who sends you a friend request is known to you in real life. Please accept only those you actually know, in order to avoid confusion later.

Well moms out there, your kids absolutely adore you and all your quirks. And we are not judging you! After all, you taught us the basics of life far before Facebook was invented, so we would be more than happy to teach you the basics of Facebook anytime you need help.
