Several reports and posts claim that around 15,000 protestors who were marching on the streets, raising their voice against the mandatory enforcement of wearing hijab, have been sentenced to death by the Iranian Government.
Among them, the most unfortunate are the virgin juveniles who are being subjected to marital rape before their execution day.
Protests For Mahsa’s Death
The women of Iran from all around the country have been protesting for two months now against the death of Mahsa Amini, who died in one of the Iranian prisons.
22-year-old Mahsa Amini was a member of Iran’s Kurdish minority who had been taken into police custody for not wearing her hijab properly. On September 16, 2022, Mahsa died in the prison for reasons unknown.
In light of Mahsa’s death, Iran has been in grave political and social upheaval. There have been protests regarding her death in Tehran, where women burned their hijabs to the ground as a cry for “freedom.”
Execution Of 15000 Protestors
According to current reports and posts flooding social media, Iran has declared the execution of 15,000 protestors who were protesting against the wearing of hijab and mourning over the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini.
However, a deep investigation reveals that the news of mass executions in Iran rests on ‘unsubstantiated’ press reports and images. The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) wrote that so far only one prosecutor has received the death sentence.
The state agency stated, “A Revolutionary Court in Tehran found that the defendant, who was not named, had set fire to a government facility and was guilty of “enmity against God.”
Reports also claim that women participating in the protest have been subjected to physical brutality and sexual harassment.

Virgin Women Raped Before Execution
The most brutal treatment has been meted out to the women of Iran who are virgins, as they are being married off to prison guards and raped the day before their execution date. There have been allegations of sexual assault inflicted on the women protestors.
Iran is among the very few countries known for imposing capital punishment on juveniles. However, Iranian law states that a virgin woman cannot be executed. Therefore, virgin juveniles were being married off to the jailers and raped by them so that they could be executed.
People Expressing Strong Disapproval Against Iran’s Decision
Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, stated, “Canada strongly condemns the Iranian regime’s decision to impose the death penalty on some arbitrarily detained protesters. We urge the regime to reverse course. These trials and sentences are clearly designed to intimidate Iranians as they fight for their human rights.”
Celebrity Peter Frampton also tweeted, “Why isn’t this the lead story worldwide??? It would be a crime against humanity!!!Please add any superlative you can!!!”
Other celebrities, like Sophie Turner and Viola Davis, also criticized Iran on Twitter for the mass execution of 15,000 protestors.
