2012 F1 Predictions

A promising year this would have been for teams other than Red Bull. They were facing a ban on a body part therefore reducing their speed. Mclaren, Ferrari and Mercedes also did take advantage of the situation. But not for long. From the Singaporian GP, Sebastian Vettel, Champion for the past two years, trying to make it this year too, won three consecutive races.

It finally comes down to New Delhi and three other remaining races. Vettel winning last year here in BIC, knows how to maintain a strong lead in the crucial laps. Also getting the fastest lap in the practice rounds, he is surely off to great start. But he must be cautious as his lead is only of 6 points. Ferrari’s Driver Fernando Alonso would like to get his 3rd crown this year. He also is in great form but not of recent.

Red Bull, however maintains a very strong lead of 77 points in the constructor standings. And they are very sure that they will keep bagging points in the last four races.

The racing gets hotter here, as the drivers said ‘ the real championship starts from India’. Also India being a tough track with a few chances of rain, dengue, dogs and turning accidents, drivers will have to really do time.

Our prediction for this year is: Driver: Sebastian Vettel and Constructor: Red Bull. Also Ferrari and Fernando Alonso will be runners up.
