The World Summit Youth Award (WSYA) is a unique global contest which brings together young developers and digital entrepreneurs – under 30 years of age – who use internet and mobile technology to put the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into action and make a difference.

The WSYA selects and promotes best practice in e-Content. It demonstrates young people’s potential to create outstanding digital contents and serves as a platform for people from all UN member states to work together in the efforts to reach the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

World Summit Youth Award 2016 Calls for Applications: March 1st – July 31st.

Engaged talents or young professionals under 30 can enter their projects within the 8 categories:

Promoting mobile innovation with high local impact on society

As a UN based initiative, the World Summit Award mobile selects and promotes the world’s most outstanding digital content. “Today, our world is almost entirely connected. But in this ocean of products and services, quality m-content is hard to find and local solutions have a hard time to compete with mainstream solutions”, states WSA Chairman Peter A Bruck.

This year’s highlight- The WSA-mobile Global Congress 2016 in Abu Dhabi

40 international winners will present their apps on a global stage!

After the national pre-selection period, a jury of eminent experts will come together in Abu Dhabi, UAE to evaluate the submissions and select the 40 best products from among hundreds of national nominations.
The 40 WSA mobile winners will get the chance to present their products at the WSA Global Congress in Abu Dhabi in February 2017. The event will offer a platform for high level experts, industry leaders and government representatives to discuss innovation in mobile content.
