Mob Lynching has been an issue in media platforms for a long time. The debate on what exactly is characterized as mob lynching is widespread.
To bring an end to such incidents, the Supreme Court had ordered the Central Government to make a law or make changes in IPC so that mob lynching gets a proper legal definition and proper punishments could be prescribed.
