The recent iPhone 7 launch has created a massive buzz around the world. India is one of those locations eagerly waiting for its own official release. But will that stop the ‘jugaadu’ Indians from finding a way to get their hands on it? I don’t think I even need to answer that.

According to a seller in Gaffar, they started accepting offers for the iPhone 7 after its US release. And don’t for a second think that the sellers don’t have it all planned out.
One seller revealed that they purposely do not divulge any details to any customer in the off chance that he/she turns out to be a cop. Even the police cannot take any action against the sellers unless they receive an official complaint. Is it just me or are these people way too smart to be selling smuggled mobile phones?
In a different recent incident, custom officials seized 75 iPhone 7s and iPhone 7+ at the IGI airport. You have to commend the audacity to carry out such a risky maneuver with around Rs 50 lakh at stake.
All this effort just to make a few extra bucks by feeding the obsession Indians have of procuring what others do not own. Indians are funny creatures, they’d pay extra money just to get something ‘exclusive’, never mind the fact that it might be illegal.
Because let’s face it, we love doing illegal stuff. You tell us to not drink before 25, and we’ll have a long island iced tea before 18. You tell us the iPhone 7 has not released yet, and we’ll buy one the next day and throw it at your face.
Anyways, if you’re one of them and have a wad of cash to spare, then the Gaffar market is your go-to place.
