This Lean In India Event Takes A Look At The Neglected Sector Of Women On Career Break

Lean In India is the official chapter of Lean In, in India.

Lean IN is a nonprofit organization and online community, founded by Sheryl Sandberg, COO at Facebook, dedicated to helping all women achieve their ambitions.

The Lean In India team have initiated a campaign – Restart Her Career, a campaign to spread awareness about the challenges that women face when they plan to join back workforce, post a sabbatical.

This is the first ever event focussed on women on career break:  Restart Her Career – finding solutions and enabling women to get back to work.

The event is scheduled for 3rd February 2018, comprising of a panel discussion by industry leaders highlighting challenges and solutions for this issue, followed by a networking event where women can explore opportunities with progressive organizations at the event.

The event also wants to highlight and spread the word about educational institutions and organisations that support their women workforce during this phase of their life.

The interactive panel discussion with leading industry speakers who are experts in their respective domains will discuss the challenges women face post a sabbatical and also brainstorm on the possible solutions and ways through which women can join back work.

For now, the confirmed panelists on board with the event are:

1. Shivani Banerjee: Associate Vice President, Hinduja Global Solutions

2. Jyothsana Vasudevan: HR Leader, Shell Lubricants, Asia Pacific & Middle East.

3. Sunita Tharwani: Founder & CEO, Full Circle, Ex-DGM Legal, Tata Enterprise.

The whereabouts of the event which will be live streamed and viewed by the entire global community of Lean In are as follows :
