Indian Institute of Management (IIM) at Rohtak has introduced ‘live and interactive’ learning through online programs. It has joined hands with Talentedge which is an Ed-Tech firm. This program offers student a course in Executive Program in Entrepreneurship.
Initial stages of program like application and payments took place with less advertisement. The processes got over by May 30. The program started on June 5 with a good bunch of students joining the historical step.
IIM Rohtak, which is the only IIM in Delhi region was started in 2009 as the 8th IIM in the country (Currently number of IIMs is 19). The performance they showed over these years has sealed their name among the top B-schools of India. This initiative is another feather to the well decorated cap. Participants of this initiative are provided with a certificate from IIM Rohtak.
This program helps in triggering one’s own business idea and help them to setup a successful venture. These sessions will not be one way classes like those implemented by IITs and NITs (through NPTEL). These sessions go a step ahead of those, where the student is not only a recipient but also a participant. The participants can discuss their business plans during the ‘mentoring sessions’. Their ideas will be heard and replied by people who have their names at the unreachable heights of entrepreneurship.
The people at the delivering side will be the core faculty of IIM Rohtak. Besides the core faculties, other prominent names such as Ajai Chowdhry, co founder of HCL, Anuradha Acharya, CEO of Mapmygenom and Vivek Gour will make the screen for the participants.
Happy on the initiative, Mr. Aditya Malik, CEO & MD Talentedge said, “It gives us great pleasure to join hands with IIM Rohtak, one of the most reputed management schools in the country, to offer aspiring entrepreneurs, the right mentoring through the Executive Program in Entrepreneurship. With Government’s thrust on ‘Make in India’, the country’s youth is enthused to channelize its talent and energy towards wealth generation by giving wings to their entrepreneurial pursuits.”
Dr. Rojers P Joseph, faculty IIM Rohtak said “With this collaboration, we aim to provide young minds, a chance to delve into the nuances of entrepreneurship and its multi-faceted characteristics. With the combination of the expertise of our faculty and Talentedge’s innovative and interactive technology, we aim to provide a holistic understanding of the course and all its subjects.”
This initiative didn’t get a big reach due to less advertising. IIMs never advertised. Their quality and success have taken care of advertising. Now the concentrated quality is diluted to wider range of people. It is in our hands to grab the opportunity well when it is available next time. The opportunity and experience gained will certainly raise the quality of individuals and hence the nation. Developed India is not too far if more such opportunities are created by reputed institutions.
