Department of Telecom panel have submitted its report to the communications & IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
According to the report it must maintain the core principles, which is not to allow blocking, prioritization and throttling of content providers on a network.
Essential services such as e-governance to be delivered on a preferential basis to users thus allowing positive discrimination.
Not much headway has been made into the matter, though the future looks bright for netizens as the government’s decision is more likely to be in favor of maintaining net neutrality.
ARVIND KEJRIWAL’S WIFI PROJECT
According to recent reports, the party is going to set up WIFI hotspots in a few colleges across Delhi University and other private institutes as a pilot project.
The government has set up a task force to implement the facility. Though the work is likely to begin only by the end of the year.
SALMAN KHAN CASE
The Bombay High Court deferred an appeal filed by Salman Khan till 13 July 2015, after the actor’s lawyer sought time to check documents.
Actor’s lawyer said he needs to check whether translation of any document in vernacular language is required to be done in English and if any documents were missing.
Chief Public Prosecutor SS Shinde consented to the adjournment date.
Although the evidences and documents are ready and copies have been served to both the sides by the court, this plea might have simply been made to delay the superstar’s arrest.

A mild earthquake measuring 4.6-magnitude hit Nepal’s capital Kathmandu early July 4th, 2015 morning. As many as six tremors were felt over a period of two days.
Despite a severe travel warning from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), Nepal is making progress in its bid to attract visitors for the trekking season.
Though as of 3 July the FCO no longer advises against all but essential travel to Nepal.
Most of Nepal’s historical sites are now open to the public. Life has returned to some normalcy though thousands of people are still living in tents, supported by international organizations and the UN.
